Langtang circuit trekking includes four trekking routes of Langtang region; Tamang Heritage Trail, Langtang, Gosaikunda pass and Helambu. This Trekking starts from Syabrubesi and ends at Melamchipul. Tamang Heritage Trail, Langtang Valley, Gosaikunda pass and Helambu Trekking is a beautiful journey in Nepal through villages, people and culture, forests, wildlife and majestic views of Himalayas.
Tamang Heritage Trail is an exciting trekking into Tamang village of the Nepal Himalaya that offers to experience culture and every-day lives of the Tamang people in Himalaya who are ethnic people of the Langtang region. The trail passes through the Tamang village, farmland, beautiful landscapes, flat meadows and rhododendron forests. Tamang heritage trail leads Tamang traditional villages through Gatlang, Chilime, Tatopani, Thuman, Briddim and Khanjim village.
The Langtang valley declared as Langtang National Park in 1976 and covering approximately 1710 sq. km stretching up to the Tibetan border. We reach Langtang Valley through small villages, farmlands and beautiful forests. We also climb Kyanjing Ri (shorter hike) or Tserko Ri (longer hike) for excellent sunrise view, valley view and mountain view. The Langtang trekking Tibet border was once an important trading route. We can still see the influence in the rich local culture. The important mountains in Langtang trekking are Langtang Lirung 7246m, Langtang II 6500m, Gang Chhenpo 6388m. Langtang Village which was completely destroyed by the devastating earthquake of 25th April, 2015.
In Gosaikunda, we will get an opportunity to see beautiful forest, several lakes and long sorounding mountaing range: Langtang range, Ganesh Himal Range, Manaslu Range, Annapurna Range as well as Gosaikunda. We will get close view and top to bottum view of Langtang Lirung (7246 m). The Gosainkunda is one of the holy mountain lakes at the height of 4380 m. Thousands of Hindus and Buddhists pilgrims visit on full moon day of August (Gosaikunda Festival) . After Gosaikunda lake our trekking continues crossing the Laurebina pass towards the Helambu valley.
Helambu is nearby Kathmandu Valley (43 km). The term Helambu is derived from Hyolmo/Yolmo; ethnic people of Nepal so Helambu is teretory of Hyolmo people. Despite being close to Kathmandu, the Helambu region remains relatively un-spoilt Hyolmo culture. We visit several Hyolmo villages like Melamchi Ghyang, Tarke Ghyang, Sermathang, Kakani and Melamchipul. Hyolmo or Yolmo people have own language, ethics, tradition and cultural entity.
