Langtang is still there. Visit and feel the new experience interacting with nature and culture. Trekking in Langtang is best way to help people. The number of Langtang visitor has notably increased in last spring season (March-May). Thousands of tourists have already visited with curiosity and new experience.  The scenario of avalanche is terrible; one village collapsed, an army camp swept, forest destroyed by air blow of avalanche.   Now it is safe for trekking, available of food and accommodation, repaired way, reinstalled bridge.

Langtang Valley

Langtang is a beautiful Valley with small settlement, located northeast of Kathmandu, at the lap of high mountains which is worst affected by the 2015 Nepal Earthquake. Langtang’s survivors are looking forward for a better day.

When the earthquake happened, an avalanche triggered by the quake buried 116 houses. No one knows exactly how many people died there, but it is confirmed that more than  270 people died, including 175 Langtang residents, 27 out of Langtang Nepali worker guide and porter, more than 50 foreigners (Belgian-1, Britain-1, Canadian-2, Franch-7, German-6, Indian-2, Indonesian-3, Israili-1, Italian-1, Malaysian-2, Dutch-2, Russian-2 and Spainish-8)   and 10 army personnel.

UNICEF, Samaritan’s Purse and many organizations are actively working in Langtang. The Organization, Langtang Memory Project is a repository of Langtang history and culture. It is working with the local community to give information about past and present.
